Highest growth is forecast for the industrial electronic equipment sector with a CAGR of 12.6% for the period 2006 to 2011.
Analyst Jackey Wang commented: "Currently, China is the largest production base of digital cameras, notebooks, cellular handsets and many other end-equipment in the world. To meet growing demand, manufacturers in the region are trying hard to enhance the level of automation within their factories and expand their production capacities. This is driving high growth in both market consumption and production revenues for the industrial electronic end-equipment sector. Chinese market and production revenues for both the computer and office equipment and consumer electronic end-equipment sectors are also forecast to increase significantly during the forecast period. All of these sectors represent a solid growth prospect for semiconductor and component suppliers to the Chinese market."
